As your business keeps growing, so does your marketing stack. Over time, you build an impressive portfolio of best-of-breed cloud-based apps to help you run your business.
It’s not long, though, until you find yourself trying to manage a customer support app, a CRM app, an invoicing app, a payment processor, and an email automation app. Despite the quality and reliability each platform brings to the table, two problems emerge:
Many of your apps don’t integrate with each other.
It’s hard to keep up with importing and exporting contact data across your marketing stack.
Enter PieSync—a reliable tool to seamlessly move prospect and customer data from one database to another every time information is altered or added.
With PieSync and Drip, you can sync data from your cloud-based apps to Drip to ensure that any information collected through your other platforms will always be up-to-date on your email list.
Check out how PieSync removes the hassle and headache of making sure your customer data in Drip is always synchronized with more than 50 other apps.

What Is PieSync?
PieSync is a cloud-based app that offers two-way real-time synchronization of customer and prospect information across many other cloud-based apps.
What does that mean, exactly? Well, it means that any information or changes made in one app can be automatically updated in another app without you lifting a finger.
If you’re an entrepreneur, you probably have a couple points throughout the customer journey where leads are entering information. You might be using Drip opt-in boxes to collect an email address, Salesforce CRM to manage customers and leads, and Stripe to collect payment information.
Each tool holds information about your customers—but what if that information is different in each platform?
When you make connections between these apps in PieSync, it will automatically update any information you choose in connected apps. This means no more wasted time on data entry, no more manual errors, and no more worrying if everyone on your team has the same information about your customers.
You can go to sleep at night knowing your customer data is squeaky clean across the board.
PieSync and Drip Come Together for Easy Syncing
With any email automation tool, you want to make sure that your lists are reliable.
That means customer input is up-to-date, duplicate information is resolved, and data is consistent across all of the apps your email automation tool integrates with. Achieving healthy lists can be a challenge if you have to consistently import and export data across apps manually.
This integration with PieSync presents two new opportunities for how Drip integrates and interacts with other apps in your marketing stack.
1. Broaden Drip’s Integration Horizon
While Drip integrates with more than 60 apps, it doesn’t yet automate with every app on the market. PieSync helps Drip connect with even more apps than before, and it also offers new features for apps Drip already integrates with.
(And since PieSync is based in Belgium, it offers app integrations that are popular in Europe, like Bexio and FastBill.)
Some app integrations are new to Drip, like these:
With PieSync, you can instantly manage contact information between Drip and the accounting app Quickbooks. This integration ensures contact information is always up-to-date whether you enter it into Quickbooks or Drip, and it lets you sync subscriber tags so you can see subscriber labels right in Quickbooks.
EZ Texting is an SMS marketing platform, and when you use PieSync to link it to Drip, you can double down on your marketing efforts. Sync contact data between Drip and EZ Texting to send targeted messages to segmented groups, i.e., text one message to “customers” and a different one to “leads.”
And some apps are already integrated with Drip, but PieSync provides a new way to automate them:
Currently, Drip users can send leads into Salesforce. It’s a one-time, one-way sync that you can incorporate into a workflow. While this is helpful in sending your leads to Salesforce, PieSync takes the integration a step further.
PieSync lets you make a connection between Drip and Salesforce that will keep your contacts up to date with two-way syncing. This means that you can update a lead’s information in Salesforce, including things like tags or lead scores, and it will sync with Drip automatically.
You can already create dozens of rules triggered by actions taken in Shopify, such as tagging someone as a customer when they create an order. When PieSync is in the picture, though, you can do more.
Manage contact information between apps in real time. Plus, create custom field maps that can do things like move a customer’s “Orders Count” field into the “Lifetime Value” field in Drip for easy segmentation.
Drip’s integration with Recurly, a subscription management app, is pretty nifty. You already have the ability to do things like enter subscribers into email campaigns in Drip when they start or end a subscription.
But linking Recurly to Drip through PieSync ensures subscriber information is up-to-date no matter where it’s entered.

2. Automate Importing and Exporting Customer Data
Drip lets you create hundreds of automation rules with its integrated apps. However, importing and exporting email lists and customer data is still a manual task you have to remember to do regularly.
PieSync fixes that with two-way real-time data syncing.
Every time information is inputted or changed in Drip or a connected app in PieSync, that information is instantly updated across all connected apps.
Manually moving information from one app to the rest of your stack makes a lot of room for error and data duplication. But two-way automated data syncing saves you time and the hassle of importing and exporting lists and customer data from one app to another. So while connected databases are constantly changing, you will always have the peace of mind that your data in Drip is accurate.
Tailor Your Syncing Options and Field Mapping
Once inside PieSync, you can tailor your data syncing to and from Drip. For example, you can choose one- or two-way syncing between Drip and connected apps.
You can also specify exactly which contacts you want to sync. This option makes it possible to sync specific segments into Drip.
Also, you can control how fields are mapped from one application into another. As you can see in the example below, since you’re syncing with an email automation tool like Drip, syncing email addresses is a default field mapping you can’t remove.
However, you can customize any additional field mapping. This means “First Name” data in Shopify will populate as “first_name” in Drip. Likewise, you can set something like a customer’s “Orders Count” to map to the “Lifetime Value” field in Drip.
This feature allows you to define which contact fields should be kept in sync between your applications, including custom and standard fields. So you can choose to sync only customers’ email addresses between apps, or you can go a little further and sync first names, phone numbers, and more.
Connect PieSync and Drip for Consistent and Accurate Data Syncing
With the union of PieSync and Drip, you can save time with automated data syncing, ensure lists won’t be cluttered with duplicate information, connect Drip with more apps than ever, and tailor your customer data syncing to meet your needs.
