Create a Single Email Campaign

Create and optimize your emails in Drip with our Single Email Campaign builder. Here’s how it works:

  • Choose what kind of email you're sending.
  • Choose your recipients.
  • Create your email.
  • Add variations for split testing.
  • Send your email!

Split test up to four subject line or email content variations. Then see opens, clicks, and revenue for each variation on the Campaign Dashboard to optimize subject lines for future sends.

Segmentation is a crucial part of your marketing strategy. Instead of sending a cast and blast email, Drip provides recommended segments to help you increase engagement and decrease the risk of brand fatigue.

For example, if you’re sending a promotional discount email, we’ll automatically exclude people who recently purchased with a discount from the recipients. Or, we’ll ensure that you don’t turn off new customers by sending them multiple discounts before they’ve made a purchase from you.

Create a Single Email Campaign

  1. Go to Single Email Campaign > + Try an improved experience
  2. Give our Single Email Campaign email a name

  4. If you clicked Help me get started, choose a goal for your email: Company Sale or Newsletter (more options coming soon)
  5. Based on your goal, we'll recommend a Broad, Intermediate, or Narrow Segment of people to send your email to

    Expand Segment Details.

      • BroadIf you want your email to go to a very large audience, this is the selection for you. This option is great for important company updates or announcements that all your people would benefit from.
      • IntermediateThis is our recommended audience for your Single Email Campaigns. The Medium audience option includes segmentation to improve email engagement and reduce the risk of brand fatigue, while keeping your audience large enough so that you can maintain communication to the people who love your brand.
      • NarrowWe recommend this option if you want a hyper-targeted email with high engagement. Focused segments are great if you send a lot of emails to your audience to prevent brand fatigue. Example: Special offers and exclusive communication.
  6. Don’t worry, you can always choose your own segment!
