Drip Tips for Holiday Email Sends
As you wrap up final preparations for BFCM, we wanted to tackle some questions that might pop up.
If I send a Broadcast “Immediately,” how long does it take to get to my customers’ inbox?
Once you’ve built your email, selected your targeted segment, and hit “send,” there are a couple things Drip has to do to get your email to your customers’ inbox. Typically, this process takes 1-15 minutes, but for very large lists, it could take up to 45 minutes.
Some Broadcast email pro tips:
The bigger the list, the more time you’ll want to allow for Drip to prep and send the email.
If you want an email to be delivered in a recipient’s time zone, you must schedule that email at least 24 hours in advance.
I’ve scheduled all my Broadcasts for BFCM. What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel any emails?
If you need to cancel a Broadcast, simply select “Unschedule & Return to Draft” in the Settings tab of your email. If you need to cancel a Broadcast, we strongly encourage you to do so at least an hour in advance of the scheduled send time.
If you’ve scheduled your email to send in a recipient’s time zone, you’ll need to unschedule at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled send time.
